Book lovers, lovers of the verbal arts and makers of books – this weekend (11 & 12 June) brings the annual Castle Ward – National Trust Book Fair to its new summertime slot.

On Sunday (12 June), resident writing group Words for Castle Ward warmly invites you to attend readings by group members, and a ‘taster’ workshop where you can experience the joys of being an writer yourself.


Reading 1: A Taste of… Words for Castle Ward, 1.30-2.15pm
Reading 2: A Taste of…Words for Castle Ward, 4.15-5pm

Taster Workshop: 2.30-4pm, Education Suite, Stableyard
This workshop is facilitated by poet Olive Broderick. It is open to all – whether beginner or experienced. Expect to create a piece of new writing based on our theme for the day, celebrating food and taste in literature.
